Pur­pose­ful Ven­tures is a char­i­ty that part­ners with social entre­pre­neurs and phil­an­thropists to improve the edu­ca­tion and well­be­ing of young peo­ple from their ear­li­est years. They select, accel­er­ate, and, where need­ed, incu­bate organ­i­sa­tions that tack­le spe­cif­ic social chal­lenges, test­ing and scal­ing effec­tive solu­tions while influ­enc­ing sys­tem change.

One such ini­tia­tive is the Baby Bank Alliance (BBA), a grow­ing nation­al net­work of baby banks across the UK. BBA strength­ens these organ­i­sa­tions by increas­ing access to fund­ing, essen­tial goods, train­ing, and shared resources. It focus­es on sup­port­ing small­er and inde­pen­dent baby banks, help­ing them reach more fam­i­lies in need and pro­vide prac­ti­cal, reli­able assis­tance. Through part­ner­ships, cam­paigns, and advo­ca­cy, BBA rais­es aware­ness of the vital role baby banks play in tack­ling hard­ship, while prepar­ing for long-term sus­tain­abil­i­ty as an inde­pen­dent organisation.
